Declans are committed to upholding high standards of practice in the sale of quality antiques and household goods. A purchase from us can be made with complete confidence.
Terms of Sale We stock a range of antique, retro, vintage and general household goods.
These items are used and often have character marks due to age and use of the items. Items are purchased as seen on the photographs. Whilst we make every endeavour to point out if there is any serious damage, restoration we cannot cover every eventuality etc. So if you have any questions please contact us by phone or e-mail.
If you cancel your purchase before a delivery is dispatched a full refund will be issued excluding a 10% administration fee.
Online Purchases In the unlikely event you are not happy with your purchase please telephone us within 7 days to let us know the reason. The goods must be returned within 28 days in the same condition as they left the shop. You will be responsible for all charges and insurances for the return process.
Shop Purchases You must satisfy yourself by examination that the item you choose is satisfactory for the purpose you need it. When the item leaves our shop it will not be taken back the responsibility is yours and we accept no returns.
Deliveries. If we do the delivery ourselves then we are responsible for the item until we deliver it to your door. We do not generally do noy carry it into your home. If you ask and the delivery driver agrees then it is at your discretion and any damage to paint work fixtures and fittings is your responsibility. We do not re-arrange furniture in your house. We do not carry anything upstairs and if we deliver to flats above ground floor then the item is delivered to the ground floor entrance only. We do not carry up flights of stairs. With this in mind please have your preparation ready for your delivery. If we send with a courier then the same rules will apply. If you employ a courier then the arrangement will be between you and them. Please make sure you have measured appropriately so you know the item will go into where you need it to go. If you do not do this and the item arrives it will be left with you. Charges for delivery outside our regular delivery area can be discussed.
Insurances If we deliver then the responsibility is ours until the item is unloaded at the front entrance to your premises . The responsibility is then yours even if you have asked our driver to help and they have agreed. If we send it by courier then we will check they are insured. If you employ a courier then the responsibility for any insurance of an item is yours.
Storage If you have had items in storage or left with us to await delivery and you cancel the purchase we reserve the right to charge storage cost and administrative costs of 5% per week or part week on the time between purchase and notification of cancellation.
